Kendra enjoys treating a wide variety of health concerns, but she holds special interests in several key areas of care:
- Mental and Emotional Health: She has a strong passion for supporting patients experiencing chronic stress, anxiety, and depression. In addition to acupuncture, she uses calming herbal and nutritional medicine to regulate and support the nervous system. She is a certified through the Leslie Korn Institute in Integrative Medicine for Mental Health
- Digestive Health: Kendra frequently works with patients dealing with bloating, gas, reflux, diarrhea, constipation, and more. She combines acupuncture with functional medicine testing, including the GI-MAP test, to identify and address the root causes of digestive dysfunction. Addressing imbalances in the gut microbiome can also have positive impacts on hormonal balance, energy levels, mental health and immune health (including autoimmune conditions).
- Chronic Pain: Her approach to pain management incorporates trigger point acupuncture, motor point acupuncture, dry needling, and Traditional Chinese Medicine techniques to relieve symptoms and correct underlying imbalances.
- Women’s Health & Prenatal Care: With years of experience treating hormonal imbalances, PMS, menstrual cramps, and menopause symptoms, Kendra also specializes in prenatal acupuncture to help expectant mothers find relief from common pregnancy-related discomforts.
