​Lead Massage Therapist & Trainer

Our integrated wellness clinic offers massage therapy, acupuncture, red light therapy and chiropractic care in a supportive and collaborative environment. We are now seeking a Lead Massage Therapist & Trainer to join our growing team of professionals.

Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced, confident, and motivated Lead Massage Therapist & Trainer who is ready to take on both leadership and hands-on client work. This role combines expert-level bodywork with staff mentorship/training as well as leadership duties. You’ll set the tone for clinical excellence, support the development of our therapists, and provide exceptional massage services to our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality therapeutic massage sessions to our clients, focusing on clinical and medical massage applications, as well as other types of massage, according to your preferred modalities.
• Serve as a mentor and trainer to our team of licensed massage therapists.
• Conduct hands-on training in specialized techniques such as:
  • Neuromuscular therapy (NMT)
  • Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)
  • Cupping therapy
  • Prenatal massage
  • Orthopedic, clinical and injury-focused bodywork
• Assist in the onboarding and continued education of our massage team.
• Act as a liaison between the management team and massage providers.
• Maintain accurate SOAP notes and client records.
• ​Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to creating a culture of growth, care, and professionalism.
• Assist the company in developing massage procedures and protocols that strive for excellence, safety and consistency in services.

Requirements:

• Positive, can-do attitude!
• Current Florida massage therapy license (LMT) in good standing and professional liability insurance.
• At least 6 years of massage therapy experience.
• Advanced training and specialized skills in:
  • Neuromuscular therapy
  • Lymphatic drainage
  • Prenatal massage
  • Cupping
  • Other specialized modalities such as Reiki, IASTM, sports, stretching are also very welcome.
• Experience training, mentoring and leading other therapists is strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-player mindset.
• Excellent skills for setting up treatment plans for clients and able to train other therapists to do so.

Compensation
The Lead Massage Therapist & Trainer is compensated at a higher rate than our standard massage team, reflecting the advanced expertise and leadership responsibilities required for this role. This is a W2 employee position.

Massage Services Compensation--

• $39/hr – Full body Swedish massage (includes hot stones)
• $44/hr – Advanced massage modalities combined with relaxation massage (including standard deep tissue, cupping, etc.). Couples massage is also compensated at this rate.
• $49/hr – Manual Lymphatic Drainage Neuromuscular, Medical and Orthopedic Massage, Craniosacral Therapy

During your massage shifts, you’ll also:

• Provide real-time clinical support to therapists when needed (e.g., communication with clients, draping, positioning of clients, body mechanics, answer general questions about Wellness Hub procedures, etc.)
• Offer mentorship and guidance to team members as needed.
• Support the front desk team and leadership team with client or other issues when they arise.

Training & Leadership Tasks Compensation--

Hands-On Training:

• $30/hr – Specialized clinical training for our therapists in advanced modalities such as:
  Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT), Lymphatic Drainage, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Craniosacral Therapy (CST), IASTM, Cupping, Prenatal Massage, etc.
  • ​Trainings usually happen about once a month or every other month for 2-4 hours, depending on the needs of the clinic.

Leadership Tasks:

• $16/hr – General leadership responsibilities, including:
  • Onboarding new team members
  • Conducting basic training (e.g., enhancements)
  • Participating in massage interviews
  • Attending leadership and all-staff meetings
    • ​This takes anywhere from 0-6 hours per week, depending on needs of the clinic.

Hours:
For massage shifts, we have daytime (8:30 am - 3:00 pm) and evening shifts available (3:00 - 9:30 pm) Monday through Saturday and 10:00 am to 5:30 pm on Sundays. At least one day on Saturday or Sunday is required for seeing clients, as these are our busiest days. We'd prefer a Lead therapist that would like to work at least 4 massage shifts per week.
